Don’t Get Caught Out! Fake £20 Notes in Circulation

Staffordshire Police are warning residents and businesses about counterfeit £20 Bank of England notes being used locally. Sadly, some businesses have already fallen victim.

What to look out for:

·  These fakes are the most common type currently in the UK.

·  Criminals add foil stickers to imitate the genuine holographic strip.

·  At first glance, they can look convincing – check carefully!

✅ How to protect yourself:

·  Always inspect the holographic strip and other security features.

·  If you suspect a fake note, do not accept it.

·  Report suspicious notes immediately to Staffordshire Police.
